Miss Intercontinental
The MISS INTERCONTINENTAL contest started off in 1971, when the beautyful island Aruba, belonging to the Netherland Antilles decided to stage the first female beauty contest ever to attract tourists from all over the World. So the pageant directors and the organizing comitte carefully planned and engineered a contest for the future and it became an overnight success. After a decade of beeing held on Aruba, the contest Miss Intercontinental moved to many exotic places and celebrate 2004 as one of the first international beauty competitions his final in China (Asia).
The Miss Intercontinental contest has since grown in terms of sponsorship and numbers of participants, it also branched out with a Mister Intercontinental contest in 1998 for the established and debonair gentlemen from 18 to 35-years-old.
